Vision
Grace Lutheran Church is a Great Commission congregation. We accept Matthew 28:19 as the primary reason for our existence: "Therefore, go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit."
Mission
We, the people of Grace Lutheran Church of Vestal, NY, declare ourselves to be believers in Jesus Christ as revealed in our Holy Bible and the Lutheran confessions. In Christ, we declare ourselves to be a family of caring people. With His help and blessing, we pledge ourselves to our mission:
- Provide opportunities to strengthen ourselves and others through regular and special worship.
- Provide the Holy Sacraments on a regular basis. Provide worship that is God-pleasing and people-satisfying.
- Provide 'life support' for ourselves and others. Help people with spiritual and physical problems of everyday living, through caring of individuals and congregation.
- Provide opportunities for a saved people to show their love for God and each other. Give opportunity for people to be witnesses of the faith they hold. Give opportunity for sharing God's blessing with others. Provide family fellowship opportunities.
- Develop personal growth throughout life. Provide opportunities for personal sanctification through worship, study, education, stewardship, fellowship, and service.
- Be a Lutheran Church - Missouri Synod people. Proclaim salvation through faith alone. Offer a uniquely Lutheran emphasis.
